Popular cold water surf destinations include Lofoten in Norway, Iceland, Alaska and Patagonia in Argentina. The Kamchatka Peninsula in Far East Russia is also interesting choice for adventurous surfers. Be sure to learn some basic Russian if you are headed over there.

One thing to bear in mind is that you are you’re not going to find many surf shops in cold surfing destinations. Be sure to pack extra fins, extra wax, extra leash, etc. Basically you should have extra everything with you. And don’t forget to bring a wetsuit repair kit (I use this kit) and a tools for ding repairs.
